Day 1

 Arrive at Xian

International flight on your own arrangement. Once arrive in Beijing,be met and transferred to your hotel. Feel free at leisure for the rest of the day.

Day 2

Xi’an

Morning breakfast at the hotel, your guide and driver will take you to visit the Shanxi Province Museum, to explore the ancient history and culture. Then visit the historical significance of the amazing The Terracotta Warriors and Horses -where7000 individually crafted clay soldiers stand on guard.Then continue to the Bid Wild Goose Pagoda built to house Buddhist scriptures collected by a Chinese Monk,where you can see variety of Buddha statues.

Day 3

Xi’anXiningChaka     D2671 (7:42-12:25)

Morning you will be transferred to the train station and take the express train to Xining. Upon arrival, your driver will take you to visit the Qinghai Lake, As the largest inland saltwater lake in China, the oval-shaped lake covers an area of 4,635 square kilometers and is 3,196 meters above sea level. In ancient times, it was called “Xihai”, “Xianshui” and “Xianhai”. In Tibetan, it is called “Cuowenbo”, meaning “a blue sea”, and it is called “Kukunuoer” in Mongolian also meaning “a blue sea”, so it has its present name, after which Qinghai Province was named. then head to Heimahe County for rest.

ChakaXining

Morning breakfast at the hotel, then drive to visit the Chaka Salt Lake, Chaka salt lake means “the sea of salt” in Mongolian. There tourists can watch the mining of salt and admire various salt crystals in the shape of pearls, corals, snowflakes and mushrooms. Then drive back to Xining, visit the Ta’er Temple, which is the center of Tibetan Buddhism in Northwest China, and enjoys a high reputation in China and Southeast Asia.

Day 5

XiningZhangye  D2703 (09:44-11:33)

TMorning breakfast at the hotel, then we will visit the Binggou Danxia, which feature is the unique shape, there are a variety of styles of modeling, the scale is more spectacular. Then transfer to the train station and take the express train to Zhangye. Upon arrival, visit the Grand Buddha Temple, which is the important place of the Silk Road. Then visit the Zhangye Danxia National Geological Park,which is 510 square kilometres in total, it located in the north of Qilian mountains, SuNa County territory. It includes the colour hills in Linze country ,ice hills, Danxia and GanZhou District and PingShan lake. The scenic Danxia, is a distance of 40 km from east Zhang Ye city, north from Linze county town by 20 kilometers, this is the most typical arid area of northern China.

Day 6

Zhangye(Linze Station)Jiayuguan   D2707(13:07-14:16)

In the morning, you will be transferred to the train station and take the express train to Jiayuguan. visit the Jiayuguan pass. This Ming Dynasty fort guards the strategic Jiayuguan pass, at the western end of the Great Wall – this was the last section built by the Ming Dynasty. The Great Wall Museum opened to visitor in October 1989 and it is the first one to exhibit the Great Wall culture in a comprehensive and systematic way.

Day 7

 JiayuguanDunhuang  T4601 (13:44-18:15)

In the morning, we will visit the Great Wall Pier, which is the southernmost pier of the Jiayuguan Great Wall, also the westernmost pier of the Great Wall in Ming Dynasty. Then we will visit the Weijin Tombs, which are ancient tombs of brick paintings dating back 265-420 AD. The wall paintings discovered are lifelike and succinct in style and cover a wide range of subjects including politics, economics, culture, military affairs, folk customs, and science and technology during the Wei and Jin periods. Afternoon, you will be transferred to the train station and take the soft sleeper train to Dunhuang.

Day 8

Dunhuang

Morning tour of Mogao Grottoes, also known as the Thousand Buddha Grottoes, this UNESCO World Heritage site is one of the great artistic and religious wonders of the world and it is famous for its exquisite murals and various sculptures inside the caves, which was built in different dynasties, spanning 1,000 years of Buddhist art. Then we will visit the Yumen Guan Pass, Yumenguan Pass is located northwest of the Dunhuang city. It got the name because the famous Khotan jade entered the Dunhuang from here.

Day 9

DunhuangTurpan    D2705 (15:41-19:24)

After breakfast, your driver will pick you up from your hotel and take you to visit the Echoing Sand Mountain&Crescent Lake, then transfer to the train station and take the express train to Turpan for rest.
Echoing-Sand Mountain or “Mingsha Mountain” is one of the Four Great Singing Sands of China. Completely piled by sands, the mountain stretches for 40km in length and 20km in width respectively, with the highest point reaching 250m. When there is wild wind, the sands will be blown up and make loud sound, while the sound sounds like being produced by some ancient musical instrument when blew by breeze, hence the name. Surrounded by the Mingsha Mountain, Crescent Lake, is named after its crescent-like shape. According to historical record, the lake has been in existence for hundreds of years without ever being buried by the sand; it is really a geological wonder.

Turpan

Morning tour at the Bezeklik Thousand Buddha Caves , is a complex of Buddhist cave grottos dating from the 5th to 14th century between the cities of Turpan and Shanshan (Loulan) at the north-east of the Taklamakan Desert in the Mutou Valley, a gorge in the Flaming Mountains, China. tour at the Astana Tombs, which are the graveyard of the residents lived in the Gaochang City in the Jin-Tang times. Known as “the Underground Museum.
Tuyoq Village, constructed in eastern and western cliffs in Tuyoq valley. more than 40 caves, there are 10 preserving murals.

Day 11

TurpanUrumqi (200kms, 3hrs driving)

Breakfast at the hotel, then visit the Karez Well, which is a special irrigation system in desert areas. Sugong Minaret, the largest Islamic minaret in China built in 1778. And Jiaohe Ruins—with a history of 2,300 years lies between two rivers on a loess plateau atop a cliff of over 30m. It is one of the best preserved ruins of its ancient era in China, it was include in the World Heritage List on June 22, 2014. afterwards, drive back to Urumqi, visit the Xinjiang International Bazaar, the largest bazaar in Urumqi. You'll find a bustling market filled with fruit, clothing, crafts, knives, carpets and almost anything that you can imagine.

Day 12

UrumqiHeavenly Lake (120kms,1.5hrs driving)

Morning your driver will pick you up from your hotel. Tour at the Xinjiang regional museum to see archaeological treasures from the Silk Road and Xinjiang's minority cultures. Then driving to Fukang and visit the Heavenly Lake, a picturesque Alpine lake, 2000m up in the Tianshan mountain range. Heavenly Lake is a long and narrow gourd-shaped moraine lake, 3400 meters long, about 1500 meters wide, 105 meters at the deepest point, with an average depth of 40 meters, covering an area of about 5.9 square kilometers. There are eight beautiful scenic spots in the lake scenic area.Afternoon, back to Urumqi for rest.
