Day 4Beijing Xi'an
- The Summer Palace
Visit The Summer Palace, Cruise in the Summer Palace, Hutong , Xiushui Street. You will be transferred to the airport in time for your flight and fly to Xian.
The Summer Palace : The largest and best-preserved royal garden in China with a history of over 800 years.
- The Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses
Visit the Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses, the Bell Tower and the Wild Goose Pagoda. Enjoy the Tang Dynasty show in the evening.
The Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses : The greatest archaeological findings of the century: the army of terra-cotta warriors and the bronze chariots entombed in vast underground vaults at emperor Qin's tomb.
The Bell Tower : The emblem of Xian city.
The Wild Goose Pagoda : The pagoda where widely renowned Master Xuanzang (Monk Tripitaka) stored his classics brought from India.
The Tang Dynasty show : The show that presents the palace dances and sings in the Tang Dynasty when Xian was the capital.
Day 6Xi'an Lanzhou
- The Ancient City Wall
Visit Shaanxi historical museum, Xian City Wall, The Grand Mosque. You will be transferred to the airport in time for your flight and fly to Lanzhou.
The Provincial Museum : One of the main museums in China which holds numerous unearthed cultural relics of China.
The Ancient City Wall : An extension of the old Tang Dynasty structure boasting the most complete city wall that survives through Chinese long history.
Day 7Lanzhou Xiahe
- Labrang Monastery
Visit Labrang Monastery, Songke Grassland.
Labrang Monastery : One of the major monasteries of the Gelugpa (Yellow Hat) sect. The architectural layout follows the Tibetan style, while the construction patterns are mostly Tibetan, Han, or a mixture of the two. The White Towers (in the northeast and in the northwest) are very typical.
Day 8Xiahe Lanzhou Jiayuguan by train
- Binglingsi Thousand Buddha Caves
Be transfered back to Lanzhou today. Visit Cruise from Liujiaxia Gorge to Binglingsi( fast boat), Binglingsi Thousand Buddha Caves.
Be transferred to the railway station to catch the train to Jiayuguan.
Binglingsi Thousand Buddha Caves : Binglingsi Thousand Buddha Caves ： These caves, which stretch for 200 meters, were built during the Western Qin, North Wei, Sui, Tang, and Song, Yuan, Ming, Qing dynasties (between the 3rd and 18th centuries). They are highly valued for their contribution to research into the history of Chinese painting, and the spread of Buddhism during that time.
- The Jiayuguan Pass
Visit The Jiayuguan Pass, The Great Wall on the Cliff, Weijin Tomb, Great Walls Museum.
The Jiayuguan Pass : This Ming Dynasty fort guards the strategic Jiayuguan pass, at the western end of the Great Wall – this was the last section built by the Ming Dynasty. It was built in 1372, and subsequently enlarged and strengthened, and was known as 'the strongest pass under heaven'.
The Great Wall on the Cliff : This is a nearby section of the Great wall which was built on the cliff, and includes sections at a 45 degrees angle, making it seem as if the wall is hanging from a cliff.
Weijin Tomb : About 15 kilometers northeast of Jiayuguan, there are over 1,400 tombs which were built during the Wei and Jin dynasties (between the 3rd and 5th century). They feature brick wall paintings showing various social activities of the times.
Day 10Jiayuguan Dunhuang
- Yulin Grattoes
Visit Yulin Grattoes.
Yulin Grattoes : These caves, with their murals and sculptures, are in a valley among Qilian Mountain, about 180kms from the Mogao Caves. The name is derived from the elms in the valley, and as you travel along the valley road you can easily imagine how it must have been to be a poet or brave solder in the distant past.
Day 11Dunhuang Turpan by train
- Mogao Grottoes
Visit Mogao Grottoes , Echoing-Sand Mountain, The Crescent Lake.
Be transferred to the railway station to catch the train to Turpan.
Mogao Grottoes : Constructed over a millennium, from the 4th to the 14th centuries, the caves hold the world's richest treasure house of Buddhist sutras, murals and sculptures.Cameras are not permitted.
Echoing-Sand Mountain : Crescent Moon Spring is 6km south of Dunhuang in the Singing Sands Mountains and is quite literally an oasis in the desert. The spring's name derives from the crescent moon shape taken by the small pool of spring water between two large sand dunes. Although the area is very dry, the pool doesn't dry up as one might expect,
- Tuyoq Village
Our nice guide will meet you at the train station and check into the hotel and Visit Jiaohe Ancient City, Astana Tombs, The Flaming Mountain, Karez Well, Suleiman's Minaret, Tuyugou Village.
Jiaohe Ancient City : The city's name means 'the River City'. It was founded during the first century B.C. and abandoned during the 15th century.
Astana Tombs : Astana Tombs: where the ancient people are buried. It is famous for its terracotta figurines and tomb paintings - The Flaming Mountain : The Flaming Mountain: Many years of volcanic activity have formed the unique crisscrossing gullies and ravines. During mid-afternoon the heat becomes intense as the sun's rays are reflected off the red rocks, as though the hillsides areengulfed by tongues of fire, hence the name.
Day 13Turpan Urumqi

Back to Urumqi after lunch in Turpan Check in the hotel, visit Erdaoqiao & International Bazaar
Karez Irrigation System,The Karez System is a unique irrigation system in Turfan, which, taking advantage of the slopes, draws the underground water to flow by itself to irrigate farmland. It consists of four parts: vertical wells, underground channels, ground canals and small reservois
Sugong Minerat,Locatedin Mura Village 2 kilometers to the east of the city of Turfa , theTower was built in the 41st year of the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty,It is an embodiment of the ancient architectural arts of the Uygur nationality. The tower is 37 meters high and 10 meters in diameter at the base. The body of the tower is cylindroid in shape, built with bricks arranged in various symmetrical patterns on the outer wall. The tower has 14 windows and a spiral stairs inside it leading to the top.
Erdaoqiao Market & International Bazaar,The Erdaoqiao Bazaar is the largest in Urumqi. You'll find a bustling market filled with fruit, clothing, crafts, knives, carpets and almost anything that you can imagine. On Sunday, there are more stalls and more goods to buy than any other day. The old streets around the bazaar are really worth seeing.Here is the most welcomed place by tourist especialy by ladies where they can buy some traditional yugur make up cosmetic.
Day 14Urumqi Kashgar
- Id Kah Mosque
After breakfast visit the Xinjiang Museum and then take the flight to Kashgar and check into the hotel upon arrival and then take the city your, visit the Idigar mosque, Apark Hoja Tomb and Old town , Xinjiang Museum the museum is the main institution to collect and investigate the unearthed cultural relics and specimens in Xinjiang. There are more than 50 thousand pieces of various kinds of cultural relics stored in the museum, among them, the ancient mummies represented by ‘the Loulan Beauty', manuscripts in Chinese, Kharosthi, Qiuci, Yanji, Tibetan, Uigurian and other characters prevailed in ancient Westen Regions, the silk ,wool, cotton and hemp fabrics and folk rainment, etc., are unusual tidbits in the world.
Id Kah Mosque It is the large Mosque in China and most famous one in Xinjiang. The Mosque started to build in the mid of fifteenth century, and has gradually developed to the present size. Id K ah Mosque, with about 16800 square meters in area, consisting of Pray Hall, the Koran teaching Hall, The Corridor, the Arches and other buildings attaching to it. The Pray Hall of the mosque can hold 4000 prayers is supported by 140 carved wooden pillars.The buildings of Id Kah Mosque look magnificent and solemn , and display the artistic styles of Islamic mosque architectures.
Day 15Kashgar Taxkorgan
- Sunday Bazaar
After breakfast visitr the Sunday bazaar and then go to Taxkorgan by coach to visit the White sand lake, Kalakuli lake, Gaici Fort(pass by) ,stone city and the colorful mountain (see afar)
Sunday Bazaar (livestock Market)Streets near this big market are choked on Sundays with farmers and buyers arriving by donkey cart, truck, bicycle, horseback, ute, motorbike or on foot, with their animals. It's loud, lively and cheerful as they arrive, eat breakfast, set up their animals and check out the action. Cattle, sheep (they definitely look different), goats, donkeys, horses have their own sections; sellers show their animals are "good eaters"(most go as livestock not meat) and the entire experience is fascinating and fun.
White sand lake : the lake is coverd by the blowed sand ,always shining in the sunshine. Lake Karakul i : Karakuli Lake is in Kashgar about 1500 kilometers from Urumqi in southwest of Xinjiang. It is about 3600 meters above sea level. with its srounding mountains Muztagata which is 7546 meters above sea level and the Gongeer Peaks with 7719 meters above sea level. Stone city : at the north of the Tashkurgan is a significant castle ruins on the mountain and unique with bizarre-shaped stones littering everywhere.Over night in Pamir Hotel
Day 16Taxkorgan Kashgar
- Apak Hoja Tomb
In the morning you will visit the Konjirap port which is the highest port in the world, after that go back to Kashgar and visit the Old Town and Apark Hoja Tomb.
Apak Hoja Tomb This Mazar is the holiest place in Xinjiang and an architectural treasure ． Built in 1640 ， it is reminiscent of the Central Asian artistic style of Samarkand or Isfahan ． A handsome blue-and-white tiled gate leads into the compound, which includes a small religious school and the Abakh Khoja family tomb. The latter is domed and faced with multi - colored tiles. I t most complete Islamic tomb of the Qing Dynasty up-to-now in China. Old townKashgar is an ancient city, and in walking the streets of its.
Old Town, will provide a sense of what this legendary Central Asian hub was like in the days when the Silk Road was at its zenith. 500-year old remnants of the city wall, narrow lanes and colorful multi-ethnic crowds combine to make Kashgar's historic district a highlight of any visit to the city.
Day 17Kashgar Kunming Via Urumqi airport
After Breakfast take the flight to Kunming via Urumqi airport, check into the hotel upon arrival.
- Stone Forest
After Breakfast drive about 1.5hrs to visit the Stone Forest and after lunch visit the Yuantong Temple.
Stone Forest: A fantastic natural phenomena located 90 km southeast of Kunming. The various shapes of karst landscape was formed due to the millions years movement of Earth. The Stone Forest area is the home of the Sani people, their folk customs has become one spectacular scene, the colorful embroidery and minority dances combine with the natural sceneries, which will surely leave you a deep impression.
YuanTong Temple: the most famous Buddhist temple in Kunming. In the 1950s, it hosted a grand ceremony to greet and send on the sacred teeth of the Buddha and so became important in Southeast Asia.
Day 19Kunming Dali
- Three Pagodas
After breakfast be transferred to the airport and take the flight to Dali. Check into the hotel upon arrival and visit Erhai and enjoy the boat cruise, Three Pagodas and Chongsheng Monastery.
Erhai Lake: an alpine fault lake in Yunnan province. Its name means "Ear-shaped Sea", due to its shape as seen by locals and travelers.
Three Pagodas:an ensemble of three independent pagodas arranged on the corners of a equilateral triangle, near the town of Dali, dating from the time of the Nanzhao kingdom.
Chongsheng Monastery:once the royal temple of the Kingdom of Dali and one of the largest Buddhist centers in south-east Asia
Day 20Dali Lijiang (180kms, 3hrs)
- Ancient city of Dali
After breakfast visit Ancient city of Dali and House of Bai Pepole in Xi'zhou. Then head to Lijiang. after check into the hotel upon arrival and the visit the Lijiang Old Town.
The Ancient City of Dali: built in the year Hongwu 15 of Ming Dynasty (1382AD). It ranks in the first list of Famous Historic and Cultural Cities of China. In the Ancient City run clear springs, and live simple and unsophisticated local Bai people. Whether rich or poor, local people are used to planting trees and growing flowers in the yard. So there is a saying in the Ancient City of Dali: “there runs a spring in every family and grow flowers in every yard.
Bai Pepole of Xizhou: it is not only a famous historic city, but also a typical commercial town of Bai people. It is one of the cradles of National capitalism of Bai people, and a famous hometown to overseas Chinese in Yunnan. So, you have to understand Xizhou first if you really want to understand Dali and Bai people. You will see Bai' typical traditions, dresses there. Some buildings are old and typical anceint architectures, which are the real local house.
- Baisha Village
After breakfast, drive about 3hrs to Jade Dragon (Yulong) Snow Mt., take cable-car up to the Yak Meadow and hike for about 1 hour to enjoy the breathtaking view of the main peak (5596 m high), then take cable-car down, visit the Yufeng Temple and Baisha Village.
Yufeng Temple is situated at the southern foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and about 10 kilometers from Lijiang’s Old Town. Originally built in the last year of the Kangxi Region of the Qing Dynasty (1770), the temple is one of five significant temples in Lijiang. The temple is, however, noted for its ancient forests clustered around and its “King Camellia.
Baisha Village: It was the cradle-land of the Tusi Dynasty evolved from the Mu Clan. It was also the earliest settlement of the Naxi people. There are many ancient constructions built in the Ming Dynasty: the Dabaoji Palace, the Liuli Temple and the Wenchang Palace. The well-known Baisha Frescoes are situated in the Dabaoji Palace.
- Tiger Leaping Gorge
After breakfast drive about 2 hours to visit the Tiger Leaping Gorge, and the first bent of Yangtze River at The Stone Drum Town(Shigu Town)
Tiger Leaping Gorge: As one of the deepest and most marvelous gorges, Tiger Leaping Gorges are located in Hutiaoxia Town, 105 kilometers away from Zhongdian/Shangri-La County. Spring is the best time to visit, as melting snow flowing down from mountains makes the river turbulence at its peak.
Stone Drum Town: It stands the base of the mountain flanking First Bay on the Yangtze River. This town derives its name from a white marble carved monument in the shape of a drum. It has a diameter of 15 m and is 0.7 m tall. This historically relevant stone monument was erected during one of the earliest periods of history of the Lijiang area.
Day 23Lijiang Shanghai
After breakfast you will take the early flight to Shanghai and check into the hotel around 15:00 beijing time. then visit the Shanghai Museum and after dinner visit the Bund and enjoy the boat cruise on the Huangpu River.
Shanghai Museum: Shanghai’s famous museum boasting an extensive collection of over 120,000 Chinese artistic and cultural relics.
Bund: This symbol of Shanghai is known worldwide as the ‘gallery of international architecture.’ Its assortment of buildings standing along the Huangpu River varying in height, color and architectural design make it one of the most magnificent skylines in the world.
