9 Day Kanas Lake Explore

Day 01Arrival/Urumqi
Transfer via: Domestic flight can be arranged on your request.
On arrival at the airport, our guide will meet you at the flight arrival and transfer you to the hotel. At the hotel the guide will go over the details of your upcoming trip and answer any questions you may have. The rest of the day is at leisure to relax or follow your own interests in the city.   Over night in Xinjiang Grand Hotel4*

Day 2 (B,L)
Urumqi
Enjoy a day visit to the Heavenly Lake. Cruise on the Heavenly Lake is also included.
- Heavenly Lake : The lake is 1900 meters above sea level and got its fame as the “jewel in the crown”. It is particularly refreshing for travelers arriving in Urumqi from the barren deserts of Xinjiang. To the east of the lake stands the Bogda Peak-the highest peak in the east part of Tian Shan Mountain, which is capped by glacier and snow glistening in the sun, finely contrasted with blue lake water, forming a fabulous scenery. Day 3 (B,L)
Urumqi To Aletai /Altay
Drive some 700km northwards to Altay today, on the way, visit " Multi-colored Bay " - the most beautiful Yardan landform in this region.The movie “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon” has left you a deep impression of the multi-colored bay where the heroine Ziyi was hidden, this special desert scene shot in the movie is located at the Gobi desert, about 220 kilometers from Fuyun county of Xinjiang. And after this short visit Your group will arrive in Aletai in the evening. Over night in local best hotel

Day 4 (L)
Aletai /Altay To Hemu
Morning departure for 300km to Hemu county, a border city where is home to Mongolians and Hazak People.
Stay tonight at Russian style wooden house

Day 5 (L)
Hemu To Kanas
Kanas is only 40km away from Hemu town. Drive to the Kanas Lake, the most beautiful mountain lake you have never seen. It is the latest lake open to all tourists in China and has attained a reputation as “the tourism pearl of Mountain Altai”.  The lake takes on different colors following the four seasons of the year, sometimes it's crystal blue, sometimes it's dark green, or even gray, you may find it containing many colors setting off each another at a time, thus it has got a name as the color-changing lake.

Day 6 (L)
Kanas
A boat trip is highly recommended, also a visit to local ethnic family -TUWA people . - The Tuwa Tribe: A Mongolian tribe called Tuwa lives on the south bank of the Kanas Lake. Believing in Lamaism, it is a valiant ethic minority with a long history. Tuwa people speak Turkish, resembling the language of Kazakh, and live on hunting and graze. They also have a special folk custom.

Day 7 (B,L)
Kanas To Burqin
drive to Burqin County, on the way we can have several stops at Kazak yurts and their grassland. You can pay a visit the Burqin River as well.
- Burqin River: converge complex thaw glaciers, and covers an area of 5588 square kilometers, the Burqin river is 25 kilometers long with its deepest place of about 176 meters, there are various plants growing around the lake, which is an ideal place for sightseeing.
Overnight at Burqin Guesthouse.

Day 8 (B)
Burqin To Urumqi
Drive back to Urumqi via karamay City.
- Karamay City: ("black oil" in the Uygur language) became famous in the 1950s for petroleum production. Oil and natural gas are Karamay's main mineral resources.  The city has such tourist attractions as the Wurhe Ghost City, Mt. Black Oil Park, and the No. 1 Well, and so on.

Day 9
Urumqi / Departure
After breakfast, your guide will meet you at the hotel lobby and transfer you to the airport for your flight to the next destination.
